Crime films have been the pillar of Hong Kong film industry, and shaped representable Hong Kong culture. Alongside thrilling plots and intriguing action scenes, music adds immense depth to portraying characters’ emotions, contributing to the success of Hong Kong’s Crime film industry.

The Second Hong Kong Film Music Fiesta: “Echoes of Order and Chaos ” Music Concert will be held on 18th March 2025 by Hong Kong Film Composers‘ Association during the Hong Kong International Film and TV Market (FILMART). Led by Music directors Tomy Wai (Wai Kai Leung) and Julian Chan (Chan Yuk Pan), the concert will feature film masterpieces reinterpreted by five music composers – Tomy Wai (Wai Kai Leung), Julian Chan (Chan Yuk Pan), Yusuke Hatano, Wendyz Zheng (Zheng Ka Ka) and Labroe Lee (Man Hei). Singers, “Hak Mui” (Li Lai Ha), Jo Koo (Koo Jo Lam) and Alex Lam (Lam Tak Shun), will also perform other classic movie theme songs. The concert hopes to pay tribute to famous movie director Benny Chan (Chan Muk Sing) and music producers Teddy Robin and Kawai Kenji, and express how good and evil intertwines in crime film music.
